Rihanna next studio album, in late April 2009, production-team Stargate (production team) stated that they had already begun working on Rihanna's next studio album.People (magazine) also reported that Rihanna has been back in the studio and has worked with music producer Brian Kennedy on three songs.
Ryan Tedder, who is also working with Rihanna as a writer and producer, stated "as for the lyrics, we're not there yet".
