Rihanna turned down a place on the judging panel of 'The X Factor'. She would have loved to accept the offer of a role on the Us version of the show by head panelist Simon Cowell, but cannot appear when it launches later this year because of her hectic touring schedule.

Rihanna told Ryan Seacrest's 102.7 Kiis FM show: "Yes, it's something that I would have loved to do, actually. But our schedule doesn't allow and it's a demanding schedule to be on that show.

"You have to be around months at a time, which is impossible for me."

Judges on the show have to go from city to city deciding which Rihanna will go through to the next stage of the competition, then act as mentor to a number of acts and judge the live TV show on a weekly basis.

BTW, As of March 18, 2011, Rihanna has sold approximately 6 million album units and over 28 million digital singles in the US. Rihanna has sold over 10 million records in the UK.
